 14th August - Ganz has announced that they are officially retiring the Webkinz Ferret.  They are also holding a Retirement Party on Saturday, August 14th to honor this fuzzy pet. On that day, Ferret owners will be able to participate in special activities, and all players will receive a special cupcake just for logging on.

23rd July - Have you been collecting MAZIN’ Moolah and wondering what you can spend it on? Well get ready to shop, because the MAZIN’ Mall is now open for business! You can visit the mall by clicking the “MAZIN’ Mall” button on the main page.

Inside the mall, just choose the store you’d like to visit from the MAZIN’ Mall Directory. Each store sells different items including tube designs, ball designs, tubes and rooms, and even items for your Webkinz pets’ room!

With the opening of the mall 15 brand new tube designs have been added as well as 15 new design options for your hamster ball!

Also added is a challenging new Cake Roll Room and three sizes of Rising Curve Tubes for amazing new options in maze building! Once you’ve unlocked them you can choose to either build them or buy them!

 16th July - Some new features in MAZIN’™ Hamsters. Here’s what we’ve added to the game:

 New Races – We’ve added a whole new maze set called “Floor Flag Follies”! This maze set, containing 6 new mazes.

New Trophy – Beat the new maze set and you’ll be awarded the all new “Floor Flag Follies Trophy”

New Maze Pieces – There are two new tubes to build in MAZIN’ Hamsters! For reaching all kinds of heights, we’ve added a long and short version of the slide tube! Visit the Create Mazes section and check out the tubes under Pieces & Tasks to build some for your maze

 

7th July - Some new features in MAZIN’™ Hamsters. Here’s what we’ve added to the game: 

New Races – We’ve added a whole new maze set called “Dead End Dangers”! This maze set, containing 6 new mazes, joins Starting Speedways under the Beat the Clock section.It’s an all new race against time, for a brand new trophy!

New Trophy – Beat the new maze set and you’ll be awarded the all new “Dead End Dangers Trophy”

 Easier Navigation – With the addition of the “MAZIN’ News” button, it is now easier for users to navigate from MAZIN’ Hamsters to Webkinz Newz. Webkinz Newz provides tons of information about MAZIN’ Hamsters, so if you need some questions answered while playing, come on over!

 



Ganz has announced that the latest pet to retire is the Bubblegum Cheeky Cat. Like previous retirements, if you own the Bubblegum Cheeky Cat you can participate in the celebration activities.

 



Ganz has announced that the Kangaroo is retiring and like Sea Otter, will be having that free collectible retirement cupcake for everyone on July 10th! If you own the Kangaroo, you will be able to participate in special events during the day.

 
 Ganz has created new display packing for each Webkinz pet, this will be effective as of the 1st August.
As a result of this the price of Webkinz will rise from $16.95 to $18.95 each
 from the 1st August.
So get in now before the price rise!

 

Ganz have released two Virtual Only Mazin Hamsters - Meet Twilight & Zap!

This pet is virtual only, and can only be purchased at the Webkinz eStore. No plush version is available. Not all virtual pets are available at all times.

Put a twinkle in your eye by adding Twilight, the MAZIN’ Hamster to your collection! The stellar Hamster Ball and Tube Design you’ll unlock with this colorful character will have you seeing stars! With Twilight, you’ll leave everyone else in the dusk!



Take charge with Zap the MAZIN’ Hamster! You’ll get a real jolt out of the electrifying colors in the Hamster Ball and Tube Design unlocked with this spunky spark! Touring the circuit will never be the same after you add Zap to your Hamster collection!

25th June - The new Mazin' Hamsters Demo has now been removed from Webkinz World, it was only available for less than a day so you had to be quick. 

24th June - The new Mazin' Hamsters are scheduled to debut in Webkinz World in just a few days, and Ganz has just announced that they are going to give everyone a "sneak peek" with a "Demo Preview".  The Demo can be found in the "Things to Do" menu in Webkinz World, in the "Fun & Games" section.
All players, regardless of whether or not they have a Mazin' Hamster plushie will be able to take a virtual hamster through a maze, either on foot or in a ball.  Can you find the flag at the end of the maze? 
If you played Zingoz Bowling earlier this month, your computer should be ready to handle the demo.  If you didn't, you may be prompted to download Unity Web Player when you click on the demo.

24th June - This weekend 26th & 27th June, Webkinz World needs your help to make sure all of the Webkinz pets make it home before dark! If you haven’t voted yet, head over to the Kinzville Times and click on “Communal Contest” in the index and pick your favorite prize. Then, visit the Arcade this weekend and play some Home Before Dark! Build paths for the Webkinz pets to follow and get extra points for picking up toys along the way!

23rd June - Just like the Ginger Cat, Ganz has announced that Sea Otter is retiring and they are holding another celebration for its retirement. On June 27th, everyone can find a free Collectible Retirement Cupcake in Today's Activiites. Already own the Sea Otter? Then you can participate in special retirement events! The eStore will be selling the online only version, this weekend (Saturday), for those that wish to partake in the special events.

11th June - Ganz has announced that the Ginger Cat is Retiring and as a result, they are planning a celebration on Webkinz World, Saturday, June 12th. The Today's Activites will have special bonuses. There will be a free Retirement Cupcake! If you own the Ginger Cat, you will be able to partake in special retirement events! This is the first webkinz to have a retirement celebration.
